Restoring the
Temple...
For the Harvest
During the last couple of months, we
introduced the vision we have for the immediate future of
Harvest Temple. We invite you to be a part of what God is
doing here by making this time an opportunity for growth in
personal prayer & devotion; restoration of home and family; and,
continuing restoration of our church facilities. God is good!
We can together see even greater things as we move forward
together. There is a list of projects in our church lobby
which outline some of the many changes that will happen during
this season.
Will you please join with us in prayer and
intercession, as well as consideration of how you might be able
to give to help this vision come to pass. We need, most of
all, for God to help us. We also need for everyone in this
church body to prayerfully consider how they can participate
financially, committing to a faith promise will help make this
vision a reality. Thank you for believing and standing
with us in faith.

From the Desk of Pastor Randy...
|
First of
all...
Praise God
for all that he is doing in our church. People saved,
baptized, filled with the Holy Spirit, healed, set free,
etc. God is moving so let's prepare our hearts for all
that God wants to do in us, our family and church body.

We're
More than a Church...
We're a Family!
This
is the theme of the Family Care Ministry here at Harvest Temple.
Why? Well, according to Mr. Webster, a church is:
- A building for public worship
- The clergy of a religious body
- A body or organization of religious believers
Many people have misconceptions that
church is a place of rules and regulations, a place of
condemnation rather than a place of warmth and acceptance.
On the other hand, Mr. Webster defines family as a
group of individuals living under one roof and usually under one
head or a group of persons of common ancestry or a group of
people united by certain convictions or a common affiliation.
Again, depending on a person's experience, family can represent
many positive or negative images.
When we look closely into God's word, we find that He
has created us to be a family. We do have one head (Jesus Christ
- Colossians 1:18), we do have a common ancestry (children of
God - 1 John 4:4), and we do have a common conviction (we adhere
to the doctrine of our church). By definition, we are a family.
Family provides for their own. Family cares for,
nurtures, encourages, helps, watches over, builds up, corrects,
supports, rallies around, accepts, challenges, advises, loves,
weeps with, rejoices with and most importantly, prays for all
members of the family. When there is a crisis, family steps up
to fill in the gaps. When there is an occasion to celebrate,
family is there to participate.
We at Harvest Temple are more than a church - we're a
family!
